Bandwidth.com (www.bandwidth.com) is quietly using HD voice as one of value-added features to differentiate between its free and pay Phonebooth.com small business service.
The Phonebooth Free service supplies a free phone number, 200 minutes per month of free inbound local calling – 6 cents per minute additional – auto attendant, extensions, voicemail, voicemail to email, Find Me Follow Me and a “Connect Us Plus” widget for the customer’s website.
Paying $20 a month for the Phonebooth OnDemand service adds unlimited local and long distance minutes on Bandwidth.com’s network, “support” for HD office phones, 24×7 US-based customer support, conference calling, detailed call records and a bunch of other goodies.
A Bandwidth.com spokesperson said HD calling was supported within the Phonebooth.com network, but would ultimate extend to all of Bandwidth.com phone numbers after the appropriate software upgrades took place.
