JDSU to add G.722 to testing gear – no AMR-WB yet

JDSU (www.jdsu.com) will be incorporating support for the G.722 codec in its next software release for the HST-3000 Handheld Services Tester.

The HST-3000 is a portable testing set that supports testing of both copper and optical ethernet testing, including support for troubleshooting IPv6 networks and (legacy) TDM network testing.  The device can be configured to support testing of SIP and VoIP sessions using a variety of codecs.

A spokesperson for JDSU said the company does not currently have plans for AMR-WB support, but if customers ask for it, etc.. etc…
