Dialogic (www.dialogic.com) has officially announced support for wideband codecs in its Host Media Processing(HMP) Software release 4.1LIN; the release also includes support for new codecs (go read about that on www.hdvconfnews.com).
New wideband support includes both G.722 and AMR-WB/G.722.2.
Dialogic HMP 4.1LIN is a high-density multimedia processing software for building communications solutions on Linux platforms; HMP is widely used as a media engine in applications and solutions.
Support for both AMR-WB and G.722 codecs in Dialogic software should come as no big surprise. The company has been beating the drum on HD voice since Fall 2009 and has already sponsored two HD voice focused webinars with TMC this year.
