Tweeted in – Samsung to support HD voice on Windows Phone 7; HTC is passing for now

The PR manager at Orange UK says he’s “just heard” the Samsung Omnia 7 will be HD voice enabled on its UK network.

Conor Maples (@conorfromorange) is the official “voice” for UK Orange; other details weren’t available via the twitter feed, but last week Orange lined up solidly behind the Windows Phone 7 announcement. The company is “exclusively” offering the HTC 7 Mozart as well as offer the Samsung Omnia 7 in the UK starting on October 21.

Slashgear is reporting that HTC has “no plans” to add HD voice to the HTC 7 Mozart – which is interesting since the technology should be a codec drop-in and HTC is said to be offering HD voice via one or more platforms by the end of the year.
