Ericsson claims its due in Australia mobile HD voice rollout

In a press release sent to Reuters and making the rounds in other distribution circles, Ericsson is defining its role in the mobile HD voice rollout in Australia, “the world’s largest HD voice network.” Telstra has turned up HD voice services covering over 2.1 million square kilometers, according to the release.

Ericsson supplied a software upgrade on Telstra’s core and WCDMA network, enabling the support of AMR-WB across Telstra’s Next G Network.  The “integration” of Mobile SoftSwitch Solution (MSS) and WCDMA software was done without interruption to current services.
