Austin, Texas – 8×8, once upon a time the poster child for business hosted HD voice, bought yet another cloud computing today.
8×8 is acquiring privately-held Contactual, a provider of cloud-based call center and customer interaction management (CRM by any other name) solutions, in an all-stock transaction not to exceed 6.7 million shares of common stock. 8×8 has been successfully selling Contractual’s call center technology as a part of its business communication services portfolio since 2007 and has seen “strong, escalating demand” for these services across its customer base.
Last year, Contractual pulled in $8.3 million, including 10 percent revenue received by 8×8.
Contractual call center solutions will be offered as a resale opportunity to all 8×8 channel partners. Currently, 8×8 offers more than 20 cloud services, including HD voice, conferencing, video, and cloud computing.
With all these new additions and its organic growth, 8×8 is on a run rate to about $100 million when it closes out its next FY.
