Thanks to Jeff Rodman for the tip
As one of it’s “WR’s Dozen: 12 Predictions for 2012,” Wainhouse Research (www.wainhouse.com) there will be increased demand for better “sound” in the conferencing experience.
“We’ll see increased demand for better sound in the conferencing experience, as end users finally realize that the image —whether it’s 3D, ‘immersive’, ‘telepresence’, or holographic—is worthless if you can’t hear what they’re saying,” Senior Analyst Mark R. Mayfield states.
Mayfield (like Rodman) has an extensive background in the audio field, including AV products marketing executive stints at Bose, JBL Professional, Loud Technologies and Extron Electronics. It will be interesting to see if enterprises are going to continue to work on better audio quality across the board, both in conferencing and in stock voice calling.
