Swissvoice gets CAT-iq 2.0 certified handset, uses DSP Group chipset

Cordless handset manufacturer Swissvoice (www.swissvoice.net) got its IH 250 phone CAT-iq 2.0 certified by the DECT forum in January and DSP Group took credit for the chipset in it about two weeks ago.

The IH250 is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2012 and supports the full range of CAT-iq 2.0 functionality, including HD voice via G.722, multi-line telephony, three-party conferencing, call transfer, and phonebook synchronization.

DSP Group (www.dspg.com) provided the XceedR chipset for the IH 250, the latest announced CAT-iq 2.0 design win for the company.  The company’s silicon is also in Deutsche Telekom’s Speedport W723V Type A CAT-iq 2.0 Gateway, Sagemcom’s D46W handset, and Samsung and VTech’s CAT-iq 2.0 certified products.
