At CES, D2 Technologies was talking up IMS. In Barcelona this week for Mobile World Congress, the company announced it is working with NVIDIA to implement SRVCC for HD Voice.
NVIDIA’s Icera 410 LTE modem is loaded with D2’s mCUE 4G client to deliver a complete solution with Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC) for Voice over LTE (VoLTE). The two pieces provide handset OEMs to give consumers a “seamless” voice experience, regardless of network type (I.e., LTE or 3G).
D2’s mCUE 4G is tightly integrated and optimized for Android to help carriers and device manufacturers deliver IMS communications features for smartphones, tablets, media phones and other mobile devices. It supports both IR.92 VoLTE and RCS/RCS-e GSMA standards to deliver features such as HD voice, real time video call, instant message, presence, SMS and VCC/CSFB on 4G mobile networks.
