Celcom has launched mobile HD voice service in Malaysia, reports NewStraitsTimes, as a part of overall system upgrades.
The company recently conducted a demonstration for the media using a pair of Sony Xperia U phones.
According to Wikipedia, Celcom – Celcom Axiata Berhad – is the oldest mobile telecommunications in Malaysia and runs 3G HSPA+ service. The carrier had 11.2 million subscribers at the end of 2010 with 31 percent total market share out of the 25 million person country and is a Vodafone network partner.
