A spokesperson for TELUS has confirmed the Canadian mobile network provider supports HD voice on its HSPA+ network nationwide. An official in-service data has not been given.
TELUS supports HD voice on a number of devices, including the newly released iPhone 5 and the Nokia Lumia 800. More HD voice capable devices will (of course) be added this fall, says the company.
Terms of service for HD voice on TELUS are the same as everyone else these days: Both ends of the call need to have an HD voice capable device and be “on network,” with no additional charge for a call made in HD.
Canada now has four (4) carriers supporting HD voice, including Rogers, Bell Canada and WIND Mobile, plus Roger’s subsidiary Fido Solutions and Bell Canada MVNO Virgin Mobile. By total market share, the country may have the highest HD voice coverage of any carrier at over 93 percent of the total market share.
