Over the past six weeks, Audience has continued to announce wins for its earSmart voice processing technology, with processors appearing in several Samsung devices.
The Galaxy Note II, released in the US in mid-October, follows the original Galaxy Note and Galaxy S III in using Audience silicon for noise suppression and other voice improvement tasks.
In November, Audience announced the Next 10 tablet from Google features Audience’s earSmart eS305 Advanced Voice processor. The Nexus 10 has two (2) active microphones, enabling the eS305 to analyze the sound environment, identify the primary voice, suppress noise and enhance voice quality.
Audience also has its technology in various Acer, Huawei, Pantech, Samsung and Sharp devices, as well as the iPhone 4 and 4S, the latter iPhone incorporating the code directly into the silicon of the A5 processor . The company uses a biological model of human hearing to process and filter sound for better quality.
