The Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA, www.gsacom.com) has issued an updated report on HD voice with a lot of trend information. It has confirmed that 61 mobile networks in 45 countries are now delivering HD voice, up from 55 percent from a year ago.
Countries listed in the GSA HD voice repot include: Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Rep., Denmark, Dominican Rep., Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mauritius, Moldova, Netherlands, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Réunion, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Uganda, UK, and the USA.
HD voice is offered by competing mobile operators in 12 countries. “International” HD voice calling has been “introduced” by between users in different countries “and will be another trend in coming months.”
