Next week, Ditech Networks (www.ditechnetworks.com) will be unveiling its in-core solution for upconverting PSTN and narrowband calls to near HD-voice quality. Rice characterized the December CAT-iq event as a relatively “informal” gathering that “stuck to basic calling [...] Thanks to Mike Rude at DSP Group for the tip Comcast (www.comcast.net) EVP and CTO Tony Werner was throwing around “HD voice” again in public, this time at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
