Cordless handset manufacturer Swissvoice (www.swissvoice.net) got its IH 250 phone CAT-iq 2.0 certified by the DECT forum in January and DSP Group took credit for the chipset in it about two weeks ago. The IH250 is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2012 and supports the full range of CAT-iq 2.0 [...] DSP Group (www.dspg.com) announced silicon design wins with Gigaset and Sagemcom DECT phones, including CAT-iq 2.0 certification for the Sagemcom phone. The Gigaset SL901/SL901A and DX800A incorporate DSP Group’s XciteR ARM-based silicon running Linux and a “strong” DSP processor, according to the company. XciteR is also incorporated into Gigaset’s DX600A, DL500A, and DECT IP [...] DSP Group has its XpandR® multimedia chipset in a newly released multimedia cordless phone being offered by Deutsche Telekom (DT). It’s an Android fixed-line “hybrid” smart phone, with both DECT/CAT-iq and Wi-Fi. The Speedphone 700 has a 3.2 inch touch screen with an “icon-grid” user interface. The XpandR chip set supports DECT and [...] Off the hype-laden floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center, DSP Group (www.dspg.com) was across the street showing off its vision for DECT through CAT-iq and the use of its chips in a multimedia, multi-screen home environment. However, the company is also quietly rolling in numerous improvements to its voice offerings with more wideband [...] Las Vegas – Cavium Networks (www.caviumnetworks.com) and DSP Group (www.dspg.com) have joined together to develop a “market ready” reference design for a multi-service gateway integrating DECT capabilities and “advanced” VoIP functionality. The partnership puts together the DECT/CAT-iq Module from DSP Group with Cavium’s ECONA ARM-based processors running D2 Technologies’ (www.d2tech.com) vPort VoIP software.
