Global mobile Supplier Association issues latest HD voice statistics

Earlier this week,the Global mobile Supplier Association (www.gsacom.com) released its latest and greatest stats on HD voice penetration in the GSM world. There are 60 compatible AMR-WB devices available on the market, 31 countries with commercial mobile HD voice service, and 36 commercial mobile HD voice networks turned up.

Technicolor releases new SME HD voice phone with AMR-WB and G.722 codecs

At IP Convergence in Paris, Technnicolor (www.technicolor.com) announced a new entry-level SIP phone. Now if they’d only use the term “HD voice” instead of “HD sound.” However, the phone supports not one, but two common HD voice codec.
