While not yet officially listed on Orange’s HD voice website (www.orange.com/hdvoice), Kenya is joining the mobile HD voice club. Telkom Orange announced its new 21 Mbps HSPA+ data network along with a “range” of HD voice devices expected to be readily available in its stores across the country, according to IT News Africa.

According to multiple reports, Orange Romania has flipped the switch on HD voice in the country. At this rate, mobile HD voice service will be available throughout most of Europe by the end of the year.

In its latest mobile HD voice market report, the Global mobile Suppliers Association (www.gsacom.com) now counts 15 “commercial” HD voice networks in 14 countries. The report characterizes momentum for introducing HD voice as “growing.”
