Deutsche Telekom (DT) this week has officially rolled out an Android DECT phone with native G.722 support, plus there’s an iPhone G.722 SIP client for in-home WiFi use. It’s the latest move by DT to expand its HD voice support in the consumer world.

GENBAND Perspectives 2011, New York, New York – Hardware manufacturer GENBAND and CounterPath Corporation has announced a “strategic, long-term” agreement to provide mobile client solutions for GENBAND’s A2 Communications Applications Server. Last week, Toktumi (www.toktumi.com) announced its Line2 iPhone app version 2.0 had received Apple’s blessing. The VoIP app supports placing calls over Wi-Fi, 3G, or cellular voice services. It also uses the Global IP Solutions (www.gipscorp.com) iSAC codec for HD voice calls.
